i currently have the cricut expression, and i see how cool the cricut cake machine is. is there anyway with out buying the new cricut cake, that i can use my cricut expression to make things for baking?

I'm wanting to get a cricut cake cutter for my mom for her birthday. She has been decorating cakes for years and scrap booking too. I've looked around online and found that the cricut cake can cut paper as well as the fondant. I was just wondering what accessories I should get in addition to the cutter to be able to cut paper and fondant. Thanks so much!
